
These crab cake pops looked simple but I had some grief with them.
Firstly, I had to think long and hard about the legs. They needed to be thin and flexible, so could not be biscuits or anything like that. They were to be couriered so had to be made of something that would not snap. I ended up using red Snakes! My kids drooled over the legs because they love Snakes.
Secondly, the legs are a pain to attach. You need to make sure the chocolate has a perfect seal and the legs were very fiddly. I had a good number of rejects that I had to toss out.
But it was worth it because they made it to Hunters Hill all in one piece, and delighted the birthday girl!
I also made Octopus cake pops and coral cookies that went along with this set.
