I have a love/hate relationship with Christmas presents. I hate the pressure and the commercialisation of it all, but I love finding a special something that says, “thank you”. I’m an old fashioned believer in the ‘it’s the thought that counts” so I hardly ever buy gift cards except when I don’t know the person. I believe the process of thinking and noticing and the effort in finding, is the key to a great gift.
In that vein, I love custom made stuff. The very fact that they are bespoke, means that they are made specially for that someone or that occasion. These cake pops celebrated a relationship at Christmas. These are almost identical to the ones I did for Western Sydney University, except the red is slightly brighter to match Virgin’s red.
