You’d think that something plain is the easiest to do. Not quite. Eg A plain cake covered in fondant will expose all the potential bumps and imperfections. It actually takes great skill to make something completely plain, and have it perfect!
Plain round cake pops are not easy to do either. My cake isn’t very smooth and gummy (I actually prefer for it NOT to have the texture of playdough) so this makes getting that smooth round texture just a bit harder. I’ll admit plain round cake pops aren’t really my forte but I do love this anyway, because the ombre effect has such a nice cascading beauty.
